  25thLID BY-LAWS - PLEASE READ!
Ratified July 1st, 2009 by JCOS:

Current JCOS Members:
USAROKS
Cozmo
Docomi

25thLID By-Laws

The following guidelines have been set forth as a means to maintain and aid in the
running of the 25th Light Infantry Division (¤LID). These rules, which have been in
practice for the better part of nine (9) years, along with the Creed, are what has
allowed our team to continue to thrive and grow where other teams have faltered.

These rules, as with any living set of guidelines, can be modified by JCOS, when
needed to continue to meet the needs of our family team.

Rule enforcement is carried out by various committees, with JCOS retaining final say.

Recruitment

¤LID typically acquires new members by one of three ways:

1. by Proxy.
2. by Invitation.
3. by Application.

Immediate family members will automatically be accepted by Proxy. The senior
family ¤LID member (Sponsor), will then be responsible for their adherence to the
Squad rules and regulations.

Those Invited for membership, as well as all others, are selected based on attitude,
maturity, sportsmanship, and love of the game. The game can be learned,
skills can improve with practice, but attitude is inherent and can not be taught!

Applicants who are actively seeking enlistment with ¤LID, may join the 25thLID
Website and file an application for membership by clicking on the “Join Us”

Link, on the main page. All applicants must be at least 18 years old, or have a
parent (Proxy), that is a full 25thLID member. They would then qualify for Jr.
Membership until they reach the calendar year of their 18th birthday. At that point
they will be required to file for full membership.

Once a person is offered a spot on ¤LID, they will be contacted by the JCOS
recruiting liaison. This person will help them get acclimated in the forums, gather
needed contact and personal information for the web site, and answer any
questions this person may have.

New recruits must have or obtain an e-mail address, ICQ account, and

TeamSpeak2, prior to joining LID. ICQ details must include real full name, address,
age and current email address. This also applies to the member’s website and
VWars Profile.

A NEW RECRUIT AGREEMENT will be sent to all new recruits via email. The new
recruit must reply to this Email, agreeing to the terms. Once the liaison receives
the accepted agreement, a request for Password, will be issued the TeamSpeak
Admin.

ALL NEW RECRUITS, unless granted special exception, will play under a
probationary or recruit status for an average of two weeks. They will wear the
(small) ¤lid tag for that probationary period. This is done for the benefit of the
team, as too many times in the past, we have seen examples of recruits who
don’t get along with the general membership, or simply vanish.

During this two week period, a recruit may be summarily dismissed. Typically this
happens at the end of the two weeks, but may come sooner. Also, during this
two week period, high expectations are placed upon the recruit to meet the
standard requirements for ¤LID members, to actively post in the forums, and to
maintain proper communication with team members via ICQ, or Team Speak.
Failure to do any one of these will result in dismissal.

Recruits may play in matches or scrimmages, only if needed to fill in. Priority is
always given to full ¤LID members.

If, at the end of the recruitment phase, JCOS decides that the recruit has met the
expectations of the team, the recruit, by unanimous JCOS vote, will be granted full
¤LID status, and be allowed to wear the standard (Big) ¤LID tag.

¤LID DOES NOT RECRUIT PLAYERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY ON AN ANOTHER
SQUAD OR RECRUIT WHILE PLAYING IN OTHER TEAM SERVERS. THERE IS NO
HONOR IN THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR. (Proof of this behavior, will result in
immediate dismissal.)

Full ¤LID Membership

Once you have reached full ¤LID status, the expectations of you increase. You
wanted to join the team; it is up to you to prove that you want to stay here.

¤LID does not condone the use of ANY cheats or glitches. Cheaters will be
removed from the team and banned from all team resources. ¤LID Members that
Glitch or Cheat will be warned on the first offense. The next offense will mean
termination from ¤LID.

1. I will not cheat nor try and gain any advantage through the use of illegal mods,
trainers, or glitches, or tactics deemed inappropriate such as nade jumping, salute
jumping.

Tags

¤LID tags should be worn at all times, including when playing in non-LID servers!
You may construct your name as you like, but we ask that you keep the ¤LID tag
standard, and make sure your name is Pronounceable and Legible. Too many
special characters are not advisable. You wanted to join the team, why not wear
your tags with pride?

5. I will wear the standard ¤LID tag, as I am proud to be a member of this family.

Participation

¤LID offers site forums for various uses. First and foremost, getting to know your
teammates in the forums translates into better play in the game, not to mention the
chance to meet or make new friends. The forums are a great means of meeting
people and sharing information.

Emails, ICQ messages, and the Website Forums, are used to pass along vital
information to and from our members. They are required for all ¤LID members.
Your teammates' communication information is available on the website for your
convenience.

If a member finds, for whatever reason, that he/she needs to take an extended
break, he/she may ask to be placed upon reserve status. While under reserve
status, no expectations of any participation is expected from that member.
Members wishing to move off of reserve status should contact a member of
JCOS.

Players on reserve status, who fail to at least check in occasionally, will
eventually have to be removed. Reinstatement would then be required.
(See below)

Any member not meeting these requirements, especially any failing to maintain
some type of activity for a period of 30 days, will be removed from ¤LID at the
discretion of JCOS. Members having been removed can re-apply for
reinstatement, if they seek to come back as active participants.

We understand real world commitments take priority, but some type of
communication for 30 days is not unrealistic.

ICQ messages, emails, posts in the forums, or activity in the server make up what
we consider "activity."

3. I will maintain proper communication with my team via ICQ, email, site forums,
or TeamSpeak, in order to keep abreast of all team happenings
.

4. I understand that this is only a game and that my REAL WORLD commitments
come first.

Behavioral Expectations

We, in ¤LID, consider ourselves as much a family as we do a team. We treat
each other with respect and ask that all members do the same. We also realize
that this game is not simply played by adults, and that our behavior should reflect
the fact that we do have young players on our team and in our servers.

Proper Behavior dose not include Profane Language, Sexual connotations,
serious accusations of lagging, constant disrespect of members, etc. The use of
slang expressions such as BS, wtf, or wth, has no place in our server, as they
reflect poorly upon the member and the team.

No accusations of cheating or glitching should ever be made to a member without
hard proof. To do so, may bring sever disciplinary action, up to and including
dismissal.

We punt/ban others for bad language, and can/will do so to ¤LID members who
do not follow this rule.

Remember the golden rule – do unto others …

2. I will treat all other players with respect, in action, language, and attitude, as I
would hope to be treated the same.

Discipline

All ¤LID members, in full standing, are subject to a three strikes rule. Any violation
of the Creed, By-Laws, or other action detrimental to the team is subject to this
rule.

Strike 1 = the member will receive a warning.
Strike 2 = the member will be placed on probation.
Strike 3 - The member will be dismissed from ¤LID.

These decisions will be made by the Disciplinary Committee, subject to the
approval of JCOS.

A strike can be removed if a player maintains him or herself without further
incident for 30 days after receiving a strike.

Any disciplinary procedures will be handled by JCOS. All decisions are final.

The honor and reputation of this team will not be compromised by any one player
and his/her negative behavior or actions.

Two Squad Rule

¤LID does not allow players to play on multiple teams (of the same game type).

You may not play BHD with ¤LID and BHD with another team. You may play BHD
with ¤LID and BF: 1942 (for example) with another team.

Playing as a mercenary is allowed – see creed below for stipulations.

6. I will play only on one team per game type. *LID does not allow multiple teams
per game.

7. Playing as a mercenary is only allowed with allies and only if the event being
played allows for it.

Privacy Policy

The privacy of the Squad and its members is very important. JCOS is very
sensitive about this area, and will to its best ability, although not always within our
power, to protect the privacy of its members.

Here are some guidelines that we will attempt to regulate:

1. It is prohibited for any member to Reproduce, Copy, Publish or
Record information that is spoken or written in any 25thLID asset, such as the
Forums, Game Server or TeamSpeak, without the written permission of all that are
involved.

2. 25thLID will not knowingly release any information located in the
members website or VWars profile to any third party or parties.

3. Use of members email for SPAM or any other Illegal use, is prohibited.

4. The use of Hearsay, Gossip, or Rumors, to the detriment of any
members’ good name, or reputation by any other member is prohibited.

5. 25thLID will never use or allow use of illegal software, intended to
expose a member or player suspected of Cheating on our server, or any other
Squad owned asset.

6. These Rules apply to past, present, and future members of 25thLID,
including family members.

NOTE: Any breach of any of the Privacy rules above, will result in immediate
termination!

Conclusion

¤LID is not a team that is just about rules and regulations. We are first a family of
gamers who are here to have fun. However, we do realize that some structure is
needed to maintain the daily operations of a squad. We also believe that these
guidelines should not only be viewable by ALL team members but be consistently
enforced. Honor Above All!

But, we do ask that you remember the bottom line:

8. I will enjoy the game, because it is ONLY A GAME.

We pride ourselves on being a family, and families have misunderstandings. By
taking the time to communicate with each other respectfully, we can overcome
our differences.

Note: These Laws and Regulations are meant to be effective in relation to all
25thLID assets and Arenas.
